Gusty provides weather, wind, water, tide, spot and forecast information for watersport (kitesurfing, windsurfing, foiling, ...) planning and decision support.

Gusty is not safety equipment, emergency guidance, professional meteorological advice, nautical advice, rescue advice, or a substitute for local judgment.

1. Conditions can change quickly

Kitesurfing and related watersports involve inherent risks, including serious injury or death.

Weather, wind, tide, current, waves, water depth, obstacles and local hazards can change quickly. Conditions at your exact location may differ from forecasts, measurements or nearby stations.

2. Forecasts may be wrong or incomplete

Forecasts, measurements, charts, model outputs, indicators and recommendations may be inaccurate, delayed, incomplete, unavailable, or unsuitable for your exact location.

Gusty may rely on third-party data sources that Gusty does not control.

3. Use multiple sources

Before riding, you should check:

  • official weather warnings;
  • tide and current information;
  • local spot rules;
  • beach and water hazards;
  • live observations where available;
  • advice from local riders, schools or authorities where appropriate.

Do not use Gusty as your only source of information.

4. Your responsibility

You are responsible for deciding whether it is safe to ride.

You should ride within your ability, use appropriate safety equipment, inspect your gear, follow local rules, and avoid conditions you are not trained or equipped to handle.

5. Emergencies

Do not use Gusty for emergency decisions.

In an emergency, contact local emergency services immediately.
